Why is Dr. Helmut Schimmel
(founder of the VEGATEST-Method)
no longer associated with the VEGA firm?

Dear Research Associate:

"Tears came to my eyes, when Dr. Schimmel called in September of last year and told me that after almost two decades, he had to sever his relationship with the Medical Division of the German VEGA firm. It’s not that there’s any love lost between myself and the ethically challenged management of that VEGA division. The tears were because of the real story behind how Dr. Schimmel was forced out.

Here is my translation of Dr. Schimmel’s official statement on this matter. Bear in mind that his attorneys have filtered it, since this matter is bound to end up in the courts. (For those who read German, the actual text appears at the end of this letter.)

"Notice! Dr. Helmut W. Schimmel has renounced his activities with the Vega firm and Grieshaber Academy, as president, honorary member, lecturer and scientific advisor.

A blatant unfounded defamation of character led to this personal decision!"

Here’s my own personal commentary concerning how I understand the situation: Dr. Schimmel had lectured in Italy, and upon his return was falsely accused by VEGA of promoting some testing device other than one they make. In spite of ample proof to the contrary, VEGA continued to confront Dr. Schimmel with that trumped-up story, without disclosing what was said or who claimed he said it.

Thus, with his personal integrity slandered due to this obvious smear campaign, it boiled down to either a Mr. Braun (manager of the VEGA Medical Division) leaving, or Dr. Schimmel leaving. Naturally, VEGA chose money over ethics, and Dr. Schimmel was left with no option but to resign.

Based on the way VEGA treated us after a fifteen year relationship with that firm (and the fact that they still owe us approx. US $245,000), I have no doubt whatsoever that this was a premeditated plan to cut Dr. Schimmel from the VEGA payroll — perhaps thinking he will eventually retire anyway. However in doing so, they have eliminated the one person responsible for the credibility that lead to the success of their medical division, namely, the very founder of the VEGATEST diagnostic method.

With a weak line of therapy equipment [that we never did recommend!], about all they really had going for themselves was diagnostics — which we still do recommend. Now, VEGA no longer has any input from Dr. Schimmel, the founder, who over the past six months has taken his VEGATEST-Method to unprecedented new heights — information totally unknown to current VEGA instructional staff.

Based on VEGA’s action, there obviously is other testing equipment in Europe that does the job, or they wouldn’t have used it as an issue against Dr. Schimmel.

Furthermore, their Grieshaber “Academy” is under controversy in Europe since it really isn’t a non-profit organization, and questions still remain open regarding Medical Division connections to Scientology. VEGA’s reputation is certain to decline even more in Europe and the English-speaking world, due to the loss of Dr. Schimmel and exposure of the fact that he was forced out. That’s how I personally see it — in writing.

In any event, the result of VEGA’s denunciation and defamation of Dr. Schimmel brings two powerful forces together again . . . indeed those very forces that started the VEGATEST-Method here in North America almost fifteen years ago. Namely, Dr. Helmut Schimmel and Occidental Institute. (Dr. Schimmel’s first ever seminar here was held July of 1983 in San Francisco, as sponsored by this Institute. In the years before that, we had sessions with him on several of our group tours to Germany.)

Just watch what’s going to happen in North America, now that Dr. Schimmel is free of that unconscionable company. OIRF is back in the “VEGATEST” business!
