Scientology, Bioresonance and VEGA

April 10, 1996

Dear Research Associate:

"Is there a connection between Scientology, Bioresonance Therapy, and VEGA? Lately, that question is being asked more and more. Some German practitioners certainly think there is, because of the known link between the first two terms [via the Brügemann sales organization] and joint usage of the term ‘Bioresonance’ by the VEGA firm, as well as their employment of former Brügemann speakers and staff. Some even feel that the way in which the new management of the VEGA Medical Division does business reflects the authoritarian practices of that “religion”. Apparently there has been so much backlash in Germany as a result, that VEGA is trying to distance itself from the term ‘Bioresonance Therapy’, in favor of “System Information Therapy”.

Be that as it may, North America has its own problems with the VEGA firm. As you know from our March 29, 1995 urgent bulletin to all VEGA practitioners, VEGA completely abandoned the United States and Canada well over a year ago. In their misguided attempt to seek F.D.A. approval in the U.S.A. (and with the corresponding agency in Canada) they discontinued all shipments into North America, in order not to further jeopardize their applications. [You and I both know “hell will freeze over” before they get the VEGATEST unit U.S.A. registered as a medical device.] Their larger parent company also did not want to take upon itself the continued liability aspects for unregistered medical devices. Hence, for over a year no one here was able to get VEGATEST units, test-sets, accessories, or even replacement parts in some cases.

Today, we hear increasingly that the still unregistered VEGATEST units are being sought and seized in raids against practitioners in the United States. Recently even some Canadian practitioners have been questioned about their Vega equipment. Therefore we strongly suggest you take the appropriate precautions.

We introduced the VEGATEST-Method to North America thirteen years ago [1983]. But, unable to obtain further equipment and test-sets, there was no point continuing to hold introductory VEGATEST seminars and workshops. Near the end of our business dealings, VEGA refused to honor promised final shipments, and even tried to misappropriate funds sent them for customer orders to cover imaginary amounts they claimed were due them by the Institute. Finally, they backed out of a prearranged meeting in Los Angeles, where we were to discuss termination of our representation. (Sorry to go into some of the political stuff, but our affiliates need to know what kind of a company VEGA really is.)

As a result of direct business cessation expenses, immediate and near future loss of revenue [based on our thirteen year investment in promoting their products!] we have fully documented our case that the VEGA firm owes this Institute over DM 350,000 (approx. US$245,000). On the plus side, they are demanding return of about DM 45,000 in several years old demonstrator equipment [that they promised we did not need to return], and which we certainly will keep until they satisfactorily settle our claims against them.

Update: Now it turns out that VEGA-Grieshaber has the audacity to attempt to lure North Americans to Germany this June to attend some “Functional Medicine Forum” for English speaking practitioners and buy stuff. This “forum” covers things we introduced to our affiliates years ago — like the Kern Meridian Complexes, Pascoe, Nestmann, Sanum and VitOrgan — of which some are not even available in either the U.S.A. or Canada."
