The
EAV Desk Reference Manuals
German Electro-Acupuncture ("Voll"/"EAV"/EAP/GEA/EDS)
Here is the standard information for
this program. But what’s new? Esther Treitl of our staff
has worked on this manual as an ongoing project for almost three
years. Every page, point and detail has been carefully scanned,
reviewed, edited and revised. Newer and better diagrams have been
prepared so that points are shown more clearly and precisely.
Everything has been reformatted into 21st century data files (no
more trying to replace old typewritten masters!).
All of these files are now available
in PDF format, which means you will be able to use standard Adobe
search engines to locate information and diagrams! This entire
two part manual is available on one CD. You can order a printed
copy or the disc for the same price.
Between early 1978 and mid-1981, the
research staff of the OICS Alumni Association planned, researched
and made available to its Members a comprehensive, yet simplified
"EAV" Program. This program sought to obviate the necessity
for meticulous study of Dr. Voll's actual textbooks and attendance
at the previous Voll EAV [Electro-Acupuncture according to Voll]
seminars. Indeed, the latter approach is reserved for the fortunate
few who have had the time, resources and foresight to do so. Many
practitioners, having purchased the Voll textbooks and/or attended
one or more EAV seminars, have become dismayed as to how to apply
all this information clinically.
For these reasons, it was our intention to produce
an organized, refined, yet simplified EAV 'Desk Reference Manual'
which would encompass all of the following:
Reorganization of the point location system involved,
including comparison between the EAV and classical acupuncture
points [as many have discovered, the majority of EAV points do
not correspond to classical locations];
Converting, as much as possible, the EAV point locations
and designations into anatomical terms consistent with the American
Gray's Anatomy, circumventing the Basel nomenclature used extensively
in Dr. Voll's texts; and,
Notes and commentaries on the energetic correspondencies
(i.e. Homeopathic remedies, Disorders, Diagnosis) in each point
section to facilitate swift learning and application of the EAV
system in clinical practice.
Having culled with a fine-tooth comb all English
and many German texts on EAV, and attended or reviewed tapes or
transcripts of every EAV presentation ever held in the U.S. to
that point, the user of this 500 page Desk Reference Manual can
be assured of receiving the finest and most complete EAV information
package available in the English language.
About Part I
PART I of this two volume work
was published in 1981, and has become the practitioners' "bible"
of EAV (if you have tried working clinically with Dr. Voll's texts
you will really appreciate the concept and function of this monumental
500 page Manual). First of all, each page of the Manual has a
separate diagram showing the exact location of one EAV point,
along with a verbal description of its location. Beyond this (by
going through all English and much German language EAV literature,
as well as transcripts of every EAV seminar or lecture previously
held on this continent), the energetic relations, usually treated
disorders, commonly tested medications and often special comments,
point measurement hints or cross-reference diagnostic information,
has all been compiled in that Manual under the appropriate points.
Furthermore, all of the EAV points are given by
sections according to their respective organ or tissue system
'categories', to facilitate clinical usefulness in diagnosis and
treatment. The Manual is printed in a loose-leaf format for easier
accessibility. Over one year of solid research and preparation
went into this volume alone, funded by a pre-publication offer
for OICS Alumni Association Members and 'EAV' friends.
About Part II
In addition to the above, which constitutes 'Part
I' of the project, a separate section (Part II) contains two full
transcripts of important EAV Seminars as introductory materials
(including relevant technical information on EAV, med testing,
and instrumentation). Part II alone has over 400 pages, and will
suffice to introduce EAV to those who are new to it, or have been
unable to attend previous U.S. EAV teaching seminars.
NOTE: Price includes printed materials or CD only. It does NOT include binders, nor any tutorial, examination or certification privileges.
