Monday, September 28, 2009

Dear Members, Colleagues and Friends of OIRF:

?    Hello everyone! Are you all back into routine? The kids are back in school and as we move back into fall (I know eagerly awaited spring for our New Zealand and dusty Australian friends) your practices should be picking up again and your seminar and meeting schedules for fall and winter should be filling up.

So I will keep this much shorter than our September 8 mailings and ask you to take some time to read this over today. Volume 5, Issue #4 (another absolutely dynamite issue even if I do say so myself) has been sent out by e-mail to all members. Please check and make sure that you printed out a copy and read through that issue for some important updates and reminders. Issue #5 will be published just prior to my departure for Germany Tour #36 at the end of October.

?    But most importantly right now I wanted to remind everyone to make sure that your registration for the Germany Tour is submitted to the office very soon. Places are still available and I know that this tour program is of interest to all practitioners – whether beginner, expert or “many timer” tour participant. The deadline is Friday, October 9 for receipt of your full funds – less than two weeks away! For our planning and reservation purposes we would greatly appreciate hearing from you as soon as possible if you are planning to join us.

This is going to be such an exciting tour. In recent mailings I’ve babbled on about the full day of official English language lectures at the Medicine Week Congress. Please follow this link Germany Tour for full information on our tour package and the names of the various speakers. Our Med-Week program is now also listed on the official Med-Week website by following this link: Med-Week

We are really trying to bring a strong delegation to the Medicine Week programs. Our meeting room – right in the Congress Hall – has been set and as you can see at the link above our English language program is listed on their website and in their printed catalog. This is a very prestigious event and allows you access not only to the exhibit areas but also into the actual meetings and lectures.

Best of all, don’t forget that most of our own Board of Advisors will be with us on this program. Four of them (Drs. MacCoy, Dhanani, Gruba and Yu) will be speaking during the Med-Week program and will be available to you evenings and bus rides for conversation and discussion. Often these (late) night discussions (that usually include a good German beer or two) are the highlight of the tour. And the food is good too . . .

We will not likely be able to repeat this unprecedented and historical event and I urge all of you to make your plans to attend now and get your registrations in to Elaine as quickly as you are able to set your flight arrangements. We are already more than half filled and a few places remain available. Let us hear from you soon.

?    I would like to remind you about the postal (mail) and e-mail mailings which were sent out to all of you around September 8th. If you did not receive either of those mailings, please contact the office and we will try to figure out and repair what happened. On the other hand, if you are no longer interested in receiving our information, please just let us know and we will remove your name from our lists and stop bothering you.

?
IMPORTANT REMINDER:  Please remember that our US Post Office Box (2950 in Oroville, Washington) has been closed as of August 31, 2009. See your Sept. 8/09 mailing for some of the reasoning behind this closure. The mail will be forwarded to us for awhile. But, for all future postal mail please use our P.O. Box 100 in Penticton, BC Canada. You can already see this change reflected on our letterhead and on the website, and we ask you to update your postal address listings accordingly.

?   A reminder also that all “back to school” sale specials come to an end on October 15, 2009. The instrumentation “Features of the Month” are the MORA-Color (effective pain control); the MORA-Super Plus (Bi-Polar Bioresonance Therapy); and, the Oxygen Ion 3000 (according to Prof. Dr. Ivan Engler). Ask for "back to school" pricing for a substantial member’s discount on this instrumentation (on recent orders the discount covered most of the shipping costs!).

?   I am happy to announce that all of the repairs and renovations are completed (we ended up rebuilding two whole walls up to 4½ feet!) and our medical office has been put back into place. With some minor changes to furniture placement we are very pleased with a brighter and more open working space. Damage has been limited to one exterior side of one cabinet which did not endanger the remedies or test sets. Whew!

We are determined to go ahead with our “flood” sale in spite of these successful repairs, and have begun our inventory of older and unused instrumentation – there are just too many treasures and incredible sample and demonstrator pieces of equipment to just keep it all hidden away in cupboards. It is time for it to be put to work and I am confident you will all help me with that project. Watch for listings of what is available and our suggested selling prices.

We are still working on sorting the “extra” remedy sets – we’ve made it up to the H’s so far – and already have several docs expressing interest. Pricing will be set once we know how many remedies are in the four duplicate sets. We have also found trunks full of “spare” homeopathic test sets from all kinds of interesting companies and individuals (including some of the tooth test sets developed by Dr. Erwin Schramm of Vienna, Austria). It is amazing the treasures we are discovering while we go through this process and I am looking forward to sharing it with you as we move towards the end of the year.

?   Speaking of the end of the year, we always seem to get a flurry of instrumentation orders just before Christmas. This year why not think about year end purchases now instead of ending up in a rush just when the Germans are all shutting down for the Christmas Holidays? Are you going to need that instrumentation purchase to help your 2009 tax situation? Is this the year you planned to add that all important piece of therapy instrumentation? Typically for the fall, the exchange rates are starting to fluctuate again, and we can anticipate much higher rates through the next few months. As always, I recommend that you strike while the rates are down and not wait around hoping for things to get better. These lower exchange rates combined with the Members’ “back to school” specials will provide you with surprisingly good instrumentation prices.

?   Please follow the links below for information about several forthcoming seminars and conferences. All are highly recommended and you can obtain full details, registration information and pricing on their websites. For Dr. Simon Yu’s international conference on Bio-Cybernetics & Energy medicine go to www.preventionandhealing.com. For Med-Tronik’s seminars (in English or in German go to www.med-tronik.de for full information.

?   The instrumentation “Features of the Month” are the MORA-Color (effective pain control); the MORA-Super Plus (Bi-Polar Bioresonance Therapy); and, the Oxygen Ion 3000 (according to Prof. Dr. Ivan Engler). Ask for “flood sale” or "back to school" pricing for a substantial member’s discount.

?   Please watch the website at www.oirf.com for announcements, updates and notifications. Thanks for time in reading this far and we will be in touch again shortly before my departure for Germany Tour #36 – deadline in less than 2 weeks to send us your registration! With all best wishes, I respectfully remain . . .

And, a closing chuckle, CATHOLIC SHAMPOO:

While shopping in a food store, two nuns happened to pass by the beer cooler. One nun said to the other, “Wouldn’t a nice cool beer or two taste wonderful on a hot summer evening?”
The second nun answered, “Indeed it would Sister, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable buying beer as I am certain that it would cause a scene at the check-out counter.”
“I can handle that without a problem” she replied as she picked up a six-pack and headed for the check-out.
The cashier had a surprised look on his face when the two nuns arrived with a six-pack of beer.
“We use beer for washing our hair” the nun said, “A shampoo of sorts, if you will . . .”
Without blinking an eye, the cashier reached under the counter, pulled out a package of pretzel sticks and placed them in the bag with the beer.
He then look the nun straight in the eye, smiled and said, “The curlers are on the house.”

Until next time . . . CLWS
