INFORMATIONAL RELEASE
Monday June 9, 2008 Dear Colleague: ? Hello everyone! Issue #3 of “The Bridge” has been sent out to all current members. In this Issue we included a great articles by member Dr. Justin Morais (on Homeopuncture). Here also is the second great article from Prof. Dr. Ivan Engler on Inhaled Ionized Oxygen Therapy that I translated. Our next Issue will feature articles by Dr. Karim Dhanani (his article for this issue was delayed) and Dr. Tony Scott-Morley, and I will translate the Part III article from Dr. Engler. As a non-member you are missing out on these informative and interesting issues of the newsletter as well as special notices and announcements. Another copy of the application form is enclosed – mention this June 6/08 letter and take a $15 discount off the $125 application fee. Hoping you will join with us for the remainder of the year. Follow this link for more information www.oirf.com/membership/invite.html and here is an application your can print out, fill in and return to us www.oirf.com/membership/inviteapp.html Note that Issue #4 will be mailed out in early September. In the interim we will be sending you informational releases and announcements at the end of June and the end of July – I know that is holiday time, but please watch for them so they don’t end up in the “round file”. OIRF will be open throughout the summer months with someone on ‘duty’ each workday, however the staff will be individually taking some time off for vacation and family visiting. ? Enclosed with this Issue is information on two very important events coming up this year. First is the special seminar that is being sponsored by AMSAT-HC® to give us a really good look at this amazing global diagnostic unit and some hands-on training in its use. Second, of course is the Germany Tour #35. Ø A very special training session on the AMSAT-HC® has been arranged for June 20 and 21, 2008. This program will be the same as that taught in Germany to purchasers of the device and is intended to leave us competent to operate the device and interpret the computerized analysis. For instrumentation description see our website at www.oirf.com/recinstr/AMSAT.html Dr. Frank Blomeyer (HP) will be coming to teach this 2-day seminar. He has worked with the AMSAT global diagnostic device for more than four years and has previous experience with the Vega Company. His English is excellent and we should have a great opportunity to learn all about this instrumentation. All of this (honorarium, airfares and travel expenses) is being sponsored by the AMSAT company. This is a very generous offer on their part as a way to introduce this quality instrumentation to us here in North America. In other words folks, this seminar is a once only opportunity (and no I’m not a used car salesman saying this as a gimmick). Call Elaine today to get registered for this important seminar! For details see www.oirf.com/Events/AMSAT%20SEMINAR.html Ø Germany Tour #35 dates have been set, speakers have been confirmed, hotels have been arranged (yes, and all the meals too)! Mark these dates on your seminar calendar now. You can fly into and out of Munich and we will provide all transportation and accommodation in between. The dates are Nov. 2 through Nov. 9, 2008 (you can fly home on Sunday the 9th). In the past one of the complaints about our Tours was the price. And yes, they are expensive. So, to try and reduce the price this year (in spite of the ever increasing value of the Euro) we are planning a “not quite” full service program (shared accommodation, fewer included meals, etc.) that will drop the end tuition price by around $300. Prof. Dr. Ivan Engler has been confirmed and will speak to our delegation about his latest research and developments on Inhaled Ionized Oxygen. Mr. Christian Schörghofer from CStronic (manufacturer of the Oxygen Ion 3000 and the VNS 3000) will be joining us as well. We have also included a visit to the Med-Tronik Company to see their manufacturing and teaching facility (with a short lecture from Dr. Uwe Uellendahl), a visit to an interdisciplinary clinic (for oncology, immunology and environmental medicine), and one and a half days at the Medicine Week. We have already received commitments from participants in Canada, USA, Hong Kong and Australia. We expect this tour to fill quickly and suggest you get your registrations into Elaine as quickly as possible. You can’t say I didn’t give you advance notice for this one! For details see our website at www.oirf.com/Tours/Germany35.html ? Okay, I will stop promising not to talk about exchange rates anymore. That factor alone has such a huge influence on our ability to purchase the recommended instrumentation that I simply have to stay on top of the ever changing rates and try to keep you informed about the results of that research. At the present time we have a great opportunity – another one of those temporary glitches in the system. Exchange rates have dropped. Not a lot, but they have dropped enough that I am able to temporarily drop our instrumentation prices. I see this as a short window of opportunity before the exchange rates make their annual climb back up for the rapidly approaching summer “high tourist season”. On the larger units, this price reduction makes a substantial difference (approx. $1,700 on the end price of the AMSAT for instance). Please do not consider this as a price reduction. I want to be clear this is a straight forward matter of the exchange rates. I can only hold these current prices until June 30, 2008 – or earlier if the Euro returns to its higher levels. And so my statement from the last issue remains: “It boils down to the fact that the Euro is getting ever more expensive. If new instrumentation is on your purchase list for this year – don’t wait – do it now!” ? After more than six months of personal study and research I (Carolyn) have recently completed an intensive professional level training course on Traditional Feng Shui. In the words of my teacher I graduated as the “star pupil” of the class, and am now recognized as a certified professional practitioner. In light of my long time work with Chinese philosophy (remember I translated all of the materials for the Master of Acupuncture Program and several of the advanced theory lessons of the Extension Training Program), I was seeking a practical application for that knowledge. This is a service that – for the present – will be added to those of OIRF. An initial analysis of your clinic or home can be done ‘by remote’ and if you are interested please contact Elaine or Carolyn for fees and requirements. Thanks go out to Dr. Kang Pang Chan of Hong Kong who was my inspiration for this personal journey of study and fulfillment. ? Updates and Reminders Ø June/08 instrumentation price lists are now available. Call Elaine at 800-663-8342 for a printed or faxed copy, or e-mail support@oirf.com for a pdf version. Ø The AMSAT seminar scheduled for June 20-21 is filling quickly (we had to expand the room twice already!). It can be a little tricky getting airfare and hotel in Penticton that weekend since it is also the start of our summer tourist season as well as a show of antique and ‘muscle’ cars. If you can make it for those 2 days be sure to call Elaine for suggestions on how to get here and where to stay. Ø Watch for the announcements to be sent out the end of June and end of July. We will also try to get them posted on line. Ø Be sure to make necessary flight plans and book the time off your practice for the Germany Tour. With the emphasis on “Instrumental Methods for Natural Healing and Diagnostics” this is a popular program that we expect to fill quickly. Get registered now before you get involved with summer activities and vacations.

A closing chuckle, “Intelligent Conversation” A stranger was seated next to a little girl on the airplane. The Stranger turned to her and said, ‘Let's talk. I've heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.’ The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to the stranger, 'What would you like to talk about?' ‘Oh, I don't know', said the stranger. 'How about nuclear power?' 'OK,' she said. 'That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat grass – the same stuff. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?' The stranger thinks about
it and says, 'Hmmm, I have no idea,' to
which the little girl replies, 'Do you
really feel qualified to discuss nuclear
power when you don't know shit?' And: A conclusion – the place where you got tired of thinking! |
