Thursday, 03 June 2010

Dear Members, Colleagues and Friends of OIRF:

?    Although I promised to get the newsletter out to Members on Tuesday (right after the American holiday), it seemed the “world” was conspiring against me to get it completed. Monday was busy with Symposium details, and Tuesday I struggled against some computer type glitches and still couldn’t get finished. But, according to Catherine (Mom who is in charge of “executive support”) there was a reason. Wednesday morning – can you believe the timing?! – we received fax notification from Health Canada that the MORA Super Plus is now registered (Licence Number 82941) in Canada as a medical device.

This is a project that has been underway for more than two years. We would hurry up and send in documents and research and then wait months for a reply. As I mentioned in Issue #2, Health Canada had once again requested further documentation, but that their requests sounded reasonable and encouraging.

Today is truly a day of celebration. It is the culmination of years of work and effort, and the investment of “a lot” of money. My thanks go out to Bruce Velestuk who is a member of the Institute’s Board of Directors. His work, advice and efforts were a key to this success. Thanks also to Med-Tronik for their support and patience.

Now that the dream has come true, I’ll admit we are all a little shell shocked. Although there have always been possibilities and plans in place for this day, now that it is here we will need a bit of time to get everything organized and operating properly.

For now sales of the Super will still be handled through OIRF until the new company [called Praxis 2 Practice], promotion and procedures are worked out and made functional. Please see my comments below concerning the current discounts and prices in light of the economic situation in Europe – and needless to say – now is a good time to think about purchase of this highly effective instrumentation.

If you have any questions, or are looking for a price quote please contact Carolyn or Elaine at 800-663-8342. We’re asking for your support to get through the slower summer months.

?    And now of course the excitement growing this month is the Biological Medicine Symposium 2010 in Vancouver in just two weeks. I’m not going to go through all the highlights and name all the speakers again. You have been listening to me babbling about this conference for months now and a copy of the information is attached yet again.

Under regular circumstances there is no way I could organize a program of this caliber in North America – not only the quality and reputation of the speakers, but the number of speakers (two highly respected keynote speakers from Germany, plus an international roster of 12 more practitioners and researchers as featured speakers).

I can often organize a program of this caliber right in Germany near the Medicine Week Congress. But to bring all these speakers together here in North America has been possible only because of the generous support and sponsorship of every single one of our Board of Advisors, BioMed/Terra Medica and the other sponsoring companies – and I may not be able to repeat it.

This is a unique opportunity. And I must say we have been most disappointed with the low number of registrations to date. I really do not understand why so few of you have registered for this event. For those already registered, don’t panic since the Symposium goes ahead regardless (in its 38 year history the Institute has never cancelled a seminar or tour group – not even right after the “911” disaster).

But, we are asking those of you not already registered for your support. Get onto your arrangements now and do not miss this Symposium – you will find the information and technology you need to increase your practice effectiveness. And, you will have a chance to meet and speak with like minded practitioners and clinicians from around the world. Advance registration fees are in effect until June 12th. We are looking forward to seeing you in Vancouver!

?    Okay, that’s enough excitement. Attached [for Members] was the third issue of “The Bridge” for 2010. It included two articles that I translated. First there is one by Dr. med. Juliane Sacher called “Hops and Cocoa against Cancer and Allergies”. A certain assistant of mine who will remain unnamed commented: “Oh, beer and chocolate – I can handle that”, but don’t let the title fool you. This is a fantastic article on the use of orthomolecular medicine for the treatment (primarily) of cancer. And, best of all, Dr. Sacher has very graciously accepted our invitation to speak during the Institute’s English language day of lectures at the 44th Medicine Week Congress in Baden-Baden. This is an opportunity to hear a physician who worked closely with Dr. Heinrich Kremer, and who has been involved with the biological treatment of cancer and AIDS since the first AIDS patients presented in Germany.

Secondly there is another article from Dr. Manfred Doepp. You’ve seen his articles in recent Issues of “The Bridge”, and of course he also spoke to the group during Germany Tour #36 last year. His work with the DGEIM (German Society for Energy and Information Medicine) is highly respected and one of his duties in that organization is the critical evaluation of instrumentation being sold in the biological medicine market. This article – I hope – will get you thinking. Called “Monotheism in Medicine” it appealed to me personally and I trust you will also find it of interest.

?    All plans and arrangements for the forthcoming Germany Tour #37 are “in place”. Note that the dates are firm – shifted by one day from previous years to accommodate the changed schedule of the Medicine Week Congress and thus you must arrive in Germany by Saturday, Oct. 30th.

As you know we have been invited to organize another official English language day during the Medicine Week Congress and we have now confirmed a strong list of eight lecturers for that part of the program including Dr. med. Juliane Sacher (cancer and AIDS), Dr. med. Hans-Peter Friedrichsen (mitochondropathy) and Prof. Dr. Ivan Engler (Ionized Oxygen Therapy).

Additionally, we have confirmed two keynote speakers for the group’s private lectures. Prof. Dr. Roeland van Wijk, who works with Prof. Dr. Fritz-Albert Popp in the International Institute of Biophysics, will give us a private half day presentation on Biophotons in Diagnostics – Progress and Expectations.

Dr. med. Hendrik Treugut who is president of that same prestigious German Society for Energy and Information Medicine, will give us a private half day presentation on Energy Medicine.

Combine this with visits to (and from) several unique instrumentation firms, a visit to a pharmaceutical museum and ample time to peruse the stands at the Med-Week and this becomes a very exciting and informative program with an opportunity to enjoy a bit of the atmosphere of Baden-Baden and Germany.

The dates are set and the tour program will run from Saturday, October 30 through Friday, November 5, 2010. Details are attached and you can visit the Germany Tour page on our website for full details. Make your plans to attend now, and join us for our 37th (!!) Biological Medicine Tour program to Germany.

A few personal comments: Airfares are comparatively a bit more expensive this year and many in the industry expect this to continue into 2011. It is recommended that you use an actual travel agent (a person) and get cancellation insurance – you can never tell when Volcano “E” in Iceland is going to act up! With the low Euro we have been able to get the price of the tour lower than previous years and yet maintain our high level of education, food, accommodation, transportation and ‘pampering’. The low Euro also gives you the opportunity to make larger purchases and – of course – get test sets! Personally, I’m not missing this tour for anything . . .

?    For my regular remarks about exchange rates and instrumentation purchases – this time it is a “Double Wow”! The Canadian and US dollars remain virtually at par. The economic crisis in Europe (Greece, Spain, Ireland and …) has heightened in the past month and the Euro has again weakened quite dramatically. All instrumentation prices have been lowered – again – to reflect this change. Most predictions are that this scenario will hold “for awhile”.

Please contact Elaine or Carolyn for current price lists and you can see from the items featured in this Issue #3 that pricing has dropped considerably even since our April offers. This is an excellent time to purchase those “tools of your trade” and with them you can immediately improve the efficacy and efficiency of your current diagnostic and therapy methods.

We’re asking for your support during the long hot days of summer and we are prepared to offer you some fantastic deals. At current prices, I recommend that you take the plunge – for those items that you have been “waiting” to order until the price gets better, or the dollar gets stronger, or the wind blows from the east – and get the orders in now. I haven’t seen these kinds of prices in years and I can’t imagine they will last.

?    Updates, Reminders and Announcements:

Ø   Volume 6, Issue #4 will publish in mid-September. Watch for the regular article contribution from Dr. Anthony Scott-Morley. There will be several e-mail announcements/updates during the summer and we’ll try to negotiate some special instrumentation offers for you.

I think I have talked long beyond your patience and I thank you for reading this far. And so I think it is time for me to close for this issue. Please enjoy the chuckles below and I know Members will find much of interest in the attached newsletter. With all best wishes, I respectfully remain . . .

And a chuckle (a few one-liners this time):
What do you get when you cross a porcupine with a sheep? An animal that knits its own sweaters.
What kills 99 percent of all known computer viruses? MS Dos.
What is the longest word in the English language? Smiles – because there’s a mile between the first and last letter.
Suburbia: Where they tear out the trees and then name streets after them.
Why aren’t dogs good dancers? Because they have two left feet. [groan]
Marriage is an institution where the man loses his Bachelor’s Degree and the woman gets her Master’s.
A man doesn’t get lost – he discovers alternate destinations.
The nurse who can smile when things go wrong is probably going off duty.
How is a hospital gown like insurance? You’re never covered as much as you think you are.
Laughter is the best medicine and it has no unpleasant side effects.

Until next time . . . CLWS
