Thursday, April 17, 2008

Dear Prospective Member:

?    Hello everyone and “Happy Spring”. The second issue of “The Bridge” for 2008 has been sent to all current member but that fantastic issue is not enclosed for you. To date your membership application has not been received. Here is a quick summary of what you are missing, and be sure to send us your application today. We will be sure to send you copies of both 2008 Issues.

?  Our next Issue will feature articles by Dr. Karim Dhanani and long time member Dr. Justin Morais (on Acupuncture + Homeopathy = Homeopuncture). I have two more articles from Dr. Engler and I will be translating one of those for our next issue.

?    Enclosed with this Issue is information on two very important events coming up this year. First is the special seminar that is being sponsored by AMSAT-HC® to give us a really good look at this amazing global diagnostic unit and some hands on training on its use.

?    A very special training session on the AMSAT-HC® has been arranged for June 20 and 21, 2008. This program will be the same as that taught in Germany to purchasers of the device and is intended to leave us competent to operate the device and interpret the computerized analysis.

Just at press time we were advised by Mr. Michael Wohlwend at AMSAT that Dr.Bettina Wöhrle is not able to make the trip to Penticton for this seminar. Unfortunately the informational MEMO with the details on this event had already been printed (quite a bit of excitement and anticipation on my part – Sorry!) and I was unable to change her name there. But, Dr. Frank Blomeyer (HP) will be coming instead. He has worked with the AMSAT global diagnostic device for more than four years and has previous experience with the Vega Company. Apparently his English is excellent and we should have a great opportunity to learn all about this instrumentation. So, in terms of the seminar everything remains the same except that Dr. Blomeyer will be the instructor rather than Dr. Wöhrle.

All of this (honorarium, airfares and travel expenses) is being sponsored by the AMSAT company. This is a very generous offer on their part as a way to introduce this quality instrumentation to us here in North America. [For one lucky member also see the note in “The Bridge” concerning a used AMSAT that has shown up on the market at a really, really, really good price!] In other words, folks this seminar is a once only opportunity (and no I’m not a used car salesman saying this as a gimmick). Call Elaine today to get registered for this important seminar!

?    Germany Tour #35 dates have been set, speakers have been confirmed, hotels have been arranged (yes, and meals too)! Mark these dates on your seminar calendar now. You can fly into and out of Munich and we will provide all transportation and accommodation in between. The dates are Nov. 2 through Nov. 9, 2008 (you can fly home on Sunday the 9th). In the past one of the complaints about our Tours was the price. And yes, they are expensive. So, to try and reduce the price this year (in spite of the ever increasing value of the Euro) we are planning a “not quite” full service program (shared accommodation, fewer included meals, etc.) that will drop the end tuition price by around $300.

Prof. Dr. Ivan Engler has of course been confirmed and will speak to our group about his latest research and developments on Inhaled Ionized Oxygen. Mr. Christian Schörghofer from CStronic (manufacturer of the Oxygen Ion 3000 and the VNS 3000) will be able to join him.

We will be including a visit to the Med-Tronik Company to see their manufacturing and teaching facility (with a lecture from Dr. Uwe Uellendahl), a visit to a natural clinic, and one and a half days at the Medicine Week. We have already received registrations for this program and due to the changed content and nature of the sessions we expect it to fill quickly this year. You can’t say I didn’t give you advance notice for this one!

?    I (Carolyn) traveled to Germany during mid-March to attend the annual MORA distributors meeting at the Med-Tronik plant in Friesenheim. Once again I was very impressed with Med-Tronik’s generous hospitality and I was inspired by the experiences of other distributors when I heard how MORA is being used around the world in so many innovative and effective ways. At the present time there are clinical trials underway in Turkey, Hungary, Austria and Switzerland.

Med-Tronik is having their annual ISO audit in May and they have agreed to include the CMDCAS certificate for Canada. This means that very shortly we will be able to apply for registration of the MORA ‘family’ of devices with Health and Welfare Canada (our FDA). Without that certificate we were not able to apply in Canada and we extend our grateful thanks to Med-Tronik for taking the leap to attain this added certification for us. We will keep you informed on our progress. [A side note is that the registration for the BioPhoton device is once again “pending” with H&W.]

?    I know. I promised not to talk about exchange rates anymore. But, ladies and gentlemen, we are facing a constantly changing economic situation (especially in the USA) and the exchange rates between our various dollars and the Euro get worse and worse. The Canadian Dollar remains at or above par with the US Dollar. For awhile our Canadian Dollar stayed quite strong against the Euro but over the last month that has all changed. Both the US and Canadian Dollars dropped to 1.65 and on one day it was even 1.68! And “so what” – I can hear you are saying? Well, it means that there has been almost a 15% increase in instrumentation prices just due to exchange rates! It’s not going to get any better either. Many analysts are predicting a 2-1 Dollar-Euro rate before the end of this year.

Thus, it boils down to the fact that the Euro is getting ever more expensive. If new instrumentation is on your purchase list for this year – don’t wait – do it now!

?    Updates and Reminders

Ø  Yet again, new instrumentation price lists are available. Exchange rates are so volatile at the present time that pricing is also changing constantly. Call Elaine or Carolyn at 800-663-8342 for current listings.

Ø  The four day MORA training program sponsored by Med-Tronik in Friesenheim, Germany with Dr. Uwe Uellendahl, March 11-14, 2008 went extremely well. OIRF was well represented and Carolyn even sat in on most of the sessions. Dr. Uellendahl will also speak to our Tour #35 participants (hopefully with protocols for anti-smoking and the Gruba Color Therapy for Pain).

Ø  The office will be open and both Elaine and Esther will be here to take care of your orders and phone calls, but Carolyn will not be in the office May 12-20 (for personal study). Issue #3 will be published and mailed to you shortly after her return.

Ø  Be sure to check out the information in “The Bridge” concerning the full complement of used Vega equipment that Carolyn has for sale. Call Elaine to get an e-mail brochure about what is available and pricing.

That is about it for this issue, so I hope you can set aside some reading time to look through all this information. With best wishes, I respectfully remain . .

A really good chuckle: Bubba Had Shingles, from Catherine (Mom) Winsor

Those of us who have spent much time in a doctor’s office should appreciate this! Doesn’t it seem like more and more physicians are running their practices like an
assembly line? Here’s what happened to Bubba:

Bubba walked into a doctor’s office and the receptionist asked him what he had.

Bubba said “Shingles.” So she wrote down his name, address, medical insurance number and told him to have a seat.

Fifteen minutes later a nurse’s aide came out and asked Bubba what he had. Bubba said, “Shingles.” So she wrote down his height, weight, a complete medical history and told Bubba to wait in the examining room.

A half hour later a nurse came in and asked Bubba what he had? Bubba said “Shingles.” So the nurse gave Bubba a blood test, a blood pressure test, and electrocardiogram and told Bubba to take off all his clothes and wait for the doctor.

An hour later the doctor came in and found Bubba sitting patiently in the nude and asked Bubba what he had? Bubba said “Shingles.” The doctor asked, “Where?” Bubba said “Outside on the Truck. Where do you want me to unload ‘em?”
