A few personal comments from the Director:

The field of biological medicine continues to expand and grow exponentially as researchers and scientists around the world find the answers to “how” and “why” many of these natural healing methods work. To find those answers, many practitioners make the annual trek to Germany to participate in the Institute’s tours and to attend the famous Baden-Baden Medicine Week.

The purpose of this Symposium is two fold. First we want to make the information and research we recently heard in Germany more easily available here. And second, it is time for the Institute to once again take a leading role in our “fledgling”’ biological and natural medicine industry.

Yes, I know – natural medicine has been around for millennia. But, the biological medicine methods that we have been learning and using in the past few decades are only now becoming more accessible, more acceptable and more respectable. That is where we feel some serious problems have been developing. Again, I know – even though this is politics it is important.

There are so many companies (some new and some older) out there now who are offering remedies, instrumentation and training in this field that a lot of rivalry and competitiveness has erupted in recent years. It is understandable. All of us are trying to get the information out so that more and more patients can benefit from these methods while at the same time we must support our firms and our families. Many (if not most) of these methods combine top German and European quality with high empirical effectiveness. If not already accepted by H&W Canada or the US FDA they are approved and accepted in Europe.

So why is there all this American rivalry and competitiveness in a field where it is the patients we must serve and help? And why has it been so necessary for OIRF to refocus our efforts to better deliver those educational and research aspects that are the basis of our reputation and purpose? Well, we all know there has been a lot of junk out there along with the quality. So, this Symposium is being presented as a way for many of these biological medicine companies and their proponents to come together in a spirit of unified cooperation for the purpose of education and quality information.

In the “commercial” area for this Symposium where normally there would be a couple of dozen or more big fancy booths and slick salesmen, instead we will have about a dozen information tables setup in an informal manner for you to further explore and satisfy your curiosity. Here you will be able to ask your questions, see a quiet demonstration and actually talk to the people and doctors who are using these methods. Then you can make your own informed decisions and choices – the ones that will work in your own practice. You can see the impressive lineup of firms and organizations above who will support and participate in this unique and exciting program.

Our two keynote speakers are Dr. Richard Kraßnigg (the President of the German Medical EAV Society) and Dr. Manfred Doepp (founder and executive member of the DGEIM, the German Society for Energy and Information Medicine) have both been confirmed.

The dates are June 18, 19 and 20, 2010 in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. This is one of the most pleasant times of the year in Vancouver and to combine attendance at this Symposium with a visit to one of the most beautiful and “livable” cities in the world is a unique opportunity for all. Register today to join us for this unique and historic program.
